For me it does . . . and right now it’s horror. I love Halloween. I grew up with a dad who helped us make our costumes. Not the homemade sewing kind, taking weeks to create. The kind he pulled out of his imagination last minute. He dressed my sister up one year in a big green trash bag. Filled it with newspaper, and sent her out the door as a bag of trash! My dad instilled in me a love of horror with Creature Double Feature on Saturdays . . . of course, after chores were done. With that said, you will find me living in Castle Rock for the next few weeks knitting away. (Stephen King fans?)
What am I knitting?
Several of us are working on the Betwixt Shawl by Ambah O’Brien. It’s the current KAL here at the Fiber Loft. As you can see, we are all in very different places with our knitting. Never be afraid of joining a KAL and not being able to keep up to deadlines. We all knit at our own pace and the staff are here to keep you motivated and moving along.

Betwixt Shawl
If you feel this shawl is too lofty a project for you right now, I have a Halloween knit to recommend (see below).

HALLOWEEN NECK WARMER, by Edie Eckman (Ravelry)
This was a quick knit with three motifs; a pumpkin, a ghost, and a Skull. I knit this one using one skein of Plymouth Encore worsted.
You could use Cascade 220 worsted or Berroco Vintage. Come on in and see what we have for your quick Halloween project.
And lastly,
I’m so excited to start Stephen West’s Geogradient KAL. I’m like a “swifty” waiting for the first clue to drop on line. (Taylor Swift fans get it). Come join us for this knit along. Pick out your yarns now. We are recommending Cascade Heritage for it’s great colors and reasonable price, but we have great supply of hand-dyed fingering yarns as well. We will help you in making your choices. Look for an email later in the week. Happy knitting!
