Hello to all those crafty people out there. What a busy month it has been. For my household October brings three birthdays and an anniversary. As well as my husbands company having trade shows and customer trips; some of which the spouses attend. I’m doing my best to do it all, while trying to help out my parents, cooking them meals and seeing my mom through hip surgery. Of course I’m also traveling with my knitting and crocheting to help keep me sane and grounded.
Through the past couple of weeks, during travels and parent appointments, I’ve been noticing a bit of attitude from many people I’ve come across. It seems we’ve forgotten to be kind to each other. This makes me feel sad.
People are impatient when they can’t get their instant gratification from stores or get their immediate help from many of the employees out in the world keeping our businesses going. Wait staff in restaurants, retail personnel, medical people, teachers and many others are all out there doing their best to keep our world running. We need to be respectful and thankful for the time and energy they give. None of us is more important than any other human we run into on a daily basis. We all have a lot going on and are all dealing with many different things in our daily life.
This election is certainly not making most of us feel better. I am personally hoping kindness and caring wins. I’ll be glad when it’s all over.
I’m hoping you take a few minutes each day practicing gratitude and kindness. Think of ways to help someone who might need a little something, even if it’s just a kind smile. Be appreciative of the people who show up and realize that they have their limitations too.
With all of this said, this will be my last blog until after the new year. I want to wish you all a happy holiday season.
Happy crafting!

Totally agree! Thanks for your words reminding us all to extend kindness to everyone
