I Think I Created A Pattern

So, I know I shared this previously, my niece is having a baby in September. His name will be Tripp. So, being a knitter/crocheter, I immediately started knitting/crocheting for this baby.

My niece showed me a picture of a baby bunting that looked like a cannoli. She saw it on Instagram. I searched and searched for a cannoli baby bunting pattern but could not find one. So after much research and ideas, I tackled creating a pattern.

I think I did pretty good. It took three tries with lots of frogging. I used Plymouth Encore worsted weight yarn. I’m very excited to give it to her. My only problem, I didn’t write down what I did, so I’m not sure I could repeat it🤣. I may sit sown down one free afternoon and try to write some basic directions/guidelines. Then again, I probably will not. I know me!

My niece’s shower theme is ā€œAhoy, it’s a boy!ā€ So I knit fish washclothes for the favors.

We are buying little scented soaps to go with them. For these, I used the pattern ā€œFishy Fish Tank Scrubbyā€, by Louise Sarrazin, on Ravelry. I used Universal Yarn, Clean Cotton, in every color we have at the store. Love, Love this cotton! (I have to give a shout out to one of the Thursday night knitters for the washcloth favor idea.). With the pattern I made one change. I decreased the head to three stitches and then made an icord loop for hanging.

And, lastly, baby wise. I crocheted a stacking octopus toy.

This is a pattern from Hobbii. I used cotton yarns that I had in my stash.

I want to thank everyone that wrote in, regarding the Morse code in knitting blog. I love that a man whistled in Morse code! Keep writing in. I love to read what everyone says.

Happy knitting. And have a great 4th šŸŽ†!
