We’ve been sitting on this news for a few weeks and finally I can share it. WE ARE NOW CARRYING BROOKLYN TWEED. This is an American Wool. The Quarry is sheep sourced in Johnson County WY, spun in Harrisville NH, and dyed in Philadelphia PA. The imbue is sheep sourced in Nevada and Utah, spun in Nazareth, PA, and dyed in Valdese, NC. The Tones is sheep sourced from Johnson County, WY, spun in Two Rivers WI, and dyed in Philadelphia, PA.
This yarn is a great American wool for your next wool project. some of the colors are soft and warm, and others are dark and jewel toned. A beautiful spectrum to choose from. Come and check it out!
Some patterns on Ravelry:
Quarry: First Brioche Hat and Lodge Pullover by Jared Flood.
imbue: Woven Roots Hat and First Cardigan by Jared Flood.
Tones: Turn a Square Hat and First Raglan Sweater by Jared Flood.
Book recommendation: Vanishing Fleece: Adventures in American Wool by Clara Parkes. This is an amazing story of a woman who acquires a 676-pound bale of fleece and through her journey across the country learns about the work, and the workers who take sheep/fleece all the way through the process for us to knit. In some ways, there was a bit of sadness for me due to the fact that so much of the yarn we use is made outside of the United States due to the cheaper processing abilities in other countries. I thought this was a great recommendation along with our new line of Brooklyn Tweed yarns.

So, I had to throw a quick hat together using Tones and the pattern Turn a Square.
Happy Knitting!
